Shravan Shivratri is an auspicious festival dedicated to Lord Shiva. It takes place in the month of Shravana, thus qualifying the day as Shravan Shivratri. The month is believed to be dedicated to praying Lord Shiva and therefore, it is considered very sacred for the staunch devotees of Lord Shiva. How To Observe Fast During Shravan Shivratri

The devotees of Lord Shiva are advised to religiously attend the morning rituals and then take Sankalp dedicated to observing a full day fast on Shivratri. The sanctity of Sankalp must be maintained at any cost. Devotees must not take temptation to eat anything during the fasting period on Shravan Shivratri days. They are advised to take the vow of following or adhering to rituals for fasting.

Devotees should seek the blessing of Shiva by singing devotional songs, bhajans, and worshipping him religiously. Observance of fast must continue unabated. The second bath on Shivratri day should be taken in the evening, prior to performing Shiv Pujan. The worship of Lord Shiva is suggested to be performed at night. Devotees should break the fast the next day after taking a bath.
